  • Cherwell Collective have started a Repair Café for electrical equipment every Saturday at the Larder, 11am – 2pm. Why chuck it when you can fix it?! They also have a Party Library with items to borrow for children’s parties etc.
  • Warm Spaces in Kidlington – if you’d like to cut down the carbon whilst saving a few pennies on your heating bill this winter why not join others in one of our community warm spaces (see poster below).

For more information or details about how to sign up or get involved visit the upcoming events page on the KEG website here.

Local Eco News – Some Headlines from October…

  • Thank you to all those who took part in Kidlington Abindance’s apple pressings in various locations last month – you helped produced 575 litres of apple juice, 10 litres of pear juice and reused 533 bottles!
  • The Harvest @ Home work days went well – though more volunteers would be very much welcomed!
    • At Ron Groves Park they were especially grateful to have the support of some D of E students!
    • At Park Hill a path was laid and compost bins made by a couple of volunteers and a few staff members from the Collective
    • Lyne Road Planters – nine volunteers rolled up their sleeves to beautify the space. The trees and hedgerows are doing well.
  • Cherwell Collective Holiday Family Activities were a success, with lots of families (and pumpkins!) involved.
