A quick guide!

Recycling

It can get a bit confusing, but as well as your council kerbside collections, you can recycle the following in Kidlington:

Terracycle bins outside Methodist Church (Oxford Rd, OX5 2BP):

  • Pringles tubes;
  • All brands of coffee bean and ground coffee pouches & individual coffee bag sachets;
  • Electric toothbrush heads and covers, manual toothbrushes, flosser nozzles, floss containers, sticks and interdental brushes.

Terracycle bins inside Methodist Church (Oxford Rd, OX5 2BP)

  • Eyewear (spectacles, loose lenses, sunglasses, goggles); Pens (all kinds)

Kidlington Baptist Church (High St, OX5 2DS) – box at back of Sanctuary so accessible when the church is open for services:

  • Printer cartridges (raises money for Tearfund)

Collection bins in Tesco’s (71 High St, OX5 2DN) and Sainsbury’s (289 Oxford Rd, OX5 2PE):

  • All flexible plastic wrappings

Bins inside Sainsbury’s (289 Oxford Rd, OX5 2PE):

  • Clothes & accessories for Oxfam, batteries, cosmetics, water filters; Make-up; Razors

Morgan Optometry (106A Oxford Rd, OX5 1BL):

  • Spectacles (they collect them for prescription in Africa)

Summertown Boots.  (221 Banbury Rd, Summertown, Oxford OX2 7HQ):

  • Blister packs (conditions apply)

Collection points in Curtis Place carpark (Forester’s Way, Kidlington OX5 2PQ) and Exeter Hall car par (Oxford Rd, Kidlington OX5 1AB):

  • Clothing, shoes & textiles; glass
