Drop in for repairs of electronics, household items, bicycles, textiles, toys etc. Also for restoring items, such as knife and tool sharpening. And a coffee while you wait!  Last items taken at 11.30am.  For more information see here.
Coronation Garden Work Party | Sat 8th Aug, 10am-12pm | Home Close (OX5 2DN) – Come along and join other volunteers as we look after the village’s youngest garden. We’ll be planting, weeding, and beautifying this already much-cherished oasis of calm in the heart of the village.

⑬Woodland Trust Stratfield Brake Task Group | Thurs 13th Aug, 10am-1pm | Stratfield Brake, Frieze Way (OX5 1UP) – Sign up to help carry out a variety of practical tasks under the guidance of the Woodland Trust Site Manager, to keep the site looking great and pathways accessible, as well as help manage the woodland in line with management plans. A great way to learn skills and meet new people, the Working Group also directly contributes to the care and upkeep of valuable habitats. Volunteers need to sign up via the Woodland Trust volunteers page here.
⑳The Movement and Place (MAP) Plan Drop-in Event | Thurs 20th Aug, 11am-7pm | Exeter Hall (OX5 1AB) The Movement and Place (MAP) Plan for Kidlington and the surrounding villages is Oxfordshire County Council’s long-term plan to improve local places and transport. Its aim is to create better public spaces for communities and upgrade travel routes and infrastructure. Oxfordshire County Council welcome your in-person feedback and thoughts on the objectives and actions within the MAP Plan. You can also voice your views via their survey here. The consultation ends at 23:59 on Mon 14 Sep 2026.

A short talk and Q&A is followed by an expedition to go track some down with bat detectors! Come along to this event hosted by the County and District Councils to find out from local flood experts how you can be better prepared for flood events and learn practical steps to help protect your home, family and community.

Abundance Apple Pressing | Sat 3rd Oct, 10am-12pm | North Kidlington Primary School (OX5 2DA) – Join Kidlington Abundance as we celebrate the abundance of the natural world. Bring your surplus apples and pears*. Help chop, scrat, press and bottle the juice. If you don’t have any fruit – don’t worry! Just come and join in the fun. Everyone takes home some juice! *Fruit does not have to be in perfect condition (windfalls are fine).
