Kidlington Draught Busters

Draughty House? Feeling Cold? Fuel Bills Rising?

As part of a new project, launched in 2024, we are helping and empowering people to draughtproof their homes, to save energy and reduce bills and carbon impact!

Our wonderful trained volunteers (Anthony and Bob) can visit your home to assess and fix draughts so you should feel warmer and spend less money on your heating. Sealing up draughts also helps reduce our impact on the planet by decreasing the demand for fossil fuels.

This is a free service, inspired by projects in Wantage and Reading, facilitated by Kidlington Parish Council, and thanks to generous funding from Cherwell District Council and the Low Carbon Hub. Anyone in Kidlington and district can request a visit, but please note in the first instance and due to capacity, we will aim to prioritize those who are likely to benefit most from the service.

Would you like a Draught Buster Visit?

To arrange a visit to assess your home, please

and we’ll arrange for our Draught Busters team to contact you. You can also pick up a leaflet at Exeter Hall which has a phone number on it.

Could you volunteer with us?

We’d love to find a few more volunteers to go into home to fix draughts, advise and support residents. Here’s a pdf doc with more information. Please contact us if you’re be interested in helping your community in this way.

For more information please email us via kidlingtonecogroup@gmail.com

Please note: we’re afraid we currently don’t have a mechanism for receiving donations online or during a visit. If you’d like to make a donation please contact our treasurer Chris via kidlingtonecogroup@gmail.com)!
