Kidlington Tow Path Taskforce – This months taskforce (1st Oct) was surprisingly well-attended despite the pouring rain! As well as a bit of litter picking, one of this month’s major jobs was to cut back encroaching foliage from the path with the help of secateurs, saws and loppers. This was not only strangely therapeutic, it now means you are now much less likely to have to go a-stooping on the northbound path from Roundam Lock! If you’d like to find out more or join in at November’s session (5th Nov, 10am-2pm) visit the Canal & River Trust’s sign up page here.

Wood Chip Fest! – On the 19th Oct a mighty company of volunteers turned up in force to help shift a huge pile of wood chips in wheelbarrows, drag bags, and buckets onto the paths of the Park Hill community growing space. If you’d like to find out more about this or one of the other Growing Spaces around Kidlington let Ruth Mo know at: growspace@kidlington-pc.gov.uk

KEG is now a CAG! – Kidlington Eco Group is now officially a member of the CAG Oxfordshire network. To find out more about this great family of projects working towards a safer, fairer, greener, more sustainable region, visit their website here.
